Publication Ethics
MedScyentist follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, editors and reviewers are all expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity.
Authors
- Submit only original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Report data honestly. Fabrication, falsification and manipulation of data or images are serious misconduct.
- Cite all sources properly, and acknowledge all contributions.
- List as authors only those who made a substantial contribution to the work and approved the final version. Funding, supervision or provision of materials alone does not qualify for authorship.
- Declare all conflicts of interest and sources of funding.
- Report significant errors in published work promptly and cooperate in correcting them.
Research Involving Humans or Animals
Such research must have approval from an appropriate ethics committee, with the approving body and reference number stated in the manuscript. Research involving hazardous materials must state the safety procedures followed.
Authorship Changes
Any change to the author list after submission requires the written agreement of all authors, including any being added or removed.
Editors and Reviewers
The responsibilities of editors and reviewers are set out in the Editor Guidelines and Reviewer Guidelines.
